Chael "The Douchebag" Sonnen has several people on the top of his trash talk hit list. Sitting in third behind Anderson Silva, and every other Brazillian, is probably the "math teacher" Rich Franklin.

My point is, title or not. After Sonnen loses to Silva, a Franklin/Sonnen fight is one of many interesting bouts for Rich at 185. If you really think about it, title or not, there are a lot more interesting roads for Ace to take at 185 than 205 right now.

I don't think the UFC wants to throw Rich top guys right off the bat because I believe he could throw a serious wrench in the title pool IMO.

Hey, a man can dream and at least he is being positive about this and his head is in the right place. I still think Rich is a top MW and he is always in shape so he will be a tough fight for anyone. Even if he beats Le he would need quite a few more fights to get back into title contention. If he beats Le let's see Franklin vs Munoz. Or maybe give Rich the loser of Sonnen/Silva.

Sonnen would send Franklin back to teaching 4th graders.

Though Silva vs. Franklin III is more likely, because Chael is taking that belt.

I think Franklin/Sonnen would be an interesting fight.

Franklin actually has very good hit and scramble abilities. Bisping showed that it's not impossible to avoid the TD's of Sonnen.

I don't think this fight is as black and white as people are saying. Franklin stands a shot against anyone not named A. Silva at MW.

Wasn't Franklin the only other guy at MW who actually connected first to face on A Silva decently besides Sonnen?

I just rewatched the second Franklin Silva fight. Franklin's actually been one of the tougher challenges to Silva. He was on his way to winning that first round until the last minute or so.

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.

This is incredibly exciting! I'm a huge Franklin fan (how can you not be) and seeing him back at MW will be amazing. I'm not sure I want to see him fight Silva again, but there are definately a good few fights at MW I'd love to see. Bisping/Munoz/Sonnen are all winnable fights for Rich at MW. He's going to dispatch of Le easily enough so we'll see were he goes from there!

Agreed. I also think he provides problems for Okami as well. I think he does better against Vitor, but that's just a fight I don't see Franklin winning.
