I dont think Sylvia should be considered the #1 contender or even fight for it. He need's to build his way back up. No one is going to want to see a rematch. I say the line to the heavy weight title is getting longer.

Since Crocop has to fight Gonzaga next, if he wins he's already gets a title shot, as the winner of that fight gets the winner of Tim/Randy, so its Crocop/Randy next.

Then it will most likely be the winner of Fabricio and Arlovski to fight either for the title or #1 contender status.

Sylvia is ahead of Arlovski for title contention. Arlovski already got his shot and lost and is just coming off two loses in a row (in fact they were saying if he didn't beat Marcio Cruz he was out of the UFC). He needs at least two more wins to work his way back up to a title shot.


Sylvia should be given onee fight and if he wins gets a shot of the winner of Couture Vs. Cro Cop or Gonzaga.

This is about as close to whats gonna happen without actually sitting down with Dana and him telling you himself.

Tim's got a ways to go till he gets another shot. I think both AA and Fab will have 2 fights before they fight for Title. It'll be 1 of those 2 guys. The next title match isnt till middle of summer most likely and like Cro Cop the UFC will give Fab 2 warm up matches, mind u against better competition but still. AA is fighting to stay in the UFC, tho the UFC knows he can be $ just as a undercard and not Main event... so who knows.

Dont forget Randy Couture lost 2 fights then retired then had an immediate Championship Fight, I think its a load of crap about needs fights etc before a shot after that, its all about ONE THING and thats PPV/Gate e.g whats most marketable NOT whos earned a SHOT( I am a Fan of Couture but stll think fighters should work for their shot).
I would like to see Sylvia fight Cro Cop as we would actually get a standup fight that would either finish Sylvia or push him to being the Great Striker that he should be.
