If there’s any validity to what he’s saying, if there’s any truth to him being the “Muhammad Ali of MMA,” then he’s got to deal with me. It’s not a fight he is taking lightly, I’m sure. Jon always trains hard, and I know he will be training extra hard for this fight against me.
I heard a stat about Jon that he’s never been taken down in the UFC. But I’ve taken him down plenty, and I know he can’t fight off his back. I think my takedowns will be a key to this fight. I know Jon can take me down, too – he’s done it – but I’ve taken down every single fighter I’ve ever wanted to get down, and I took Jon down time and time again in the gym. I think style-wise I am all wrong for him.
I know Jon thinks he’s better than me. He thinks he’s better than everyone. What he don’t understand is that it only matters who is better on the night. I’ve been in the UFC since 2005, and other than one night, I’ve been the better man on the night every time.
At UFC 145, I think it will come down to who really wants it. We are both going to get beat on in this fight, we are both going to get banged up and hurt, but I want this more.
On April 21, at UFC 145, beating Jon Jones up means everything to me. I want to smash him up so bad. I want to be world champion again – but for this fight, beating up on Jon Jones means absolutely everything.
I will beat his ass and then tell him that crying won’t get him his belt back.

I give Rashad a good chance. I also give Bones a good chance. I really have no fecking idea.

I am as well, but no matter how I think of this, I keep seeing Jones taking it. Evans better really be on his game. I would really like to see Jones fight off of his back. |

I thought this fight was a toss up when it was first happening. But honestly I'm taking Jones by landslide. Rashad is taking all of this far too personal. It's about beating Jones not about winning a fight and getting a title. That is the quickest way to fight stupid. You need to keep your emotions under control and be clear headed. Rashad hates Jones so much it's going to lead him right into a stupid mistake and Jon will take him out brutally.

I think Jones is very much different than the guy that Rashad trained with a couple years ago. I think this fight will finally be the fight where people start talking about Jones having cleared out the division even though he has only beaten, and finished, Bader, Shogun, Lyoto, Rampage, and after that night Rashad.
That list alone speaks more to Jones ability going into this fight than anything.

The reason why I think Jon Jones walks through Rashad is what Rashad's saying he's going to go for the takedowns and try and hold him down for 25 minutes. When a smaller, older fighters tells me he's going to do this against a champion who's never been defeated I like his chances. If he doesn't go for the finish in this fight I think he might win a round or two but he will likely gas and Jones will finish him.

Rashad is a badass, but he gets his ass slaughtered in this fight. He needs to drop to MW and become champ after AS retires.

What if Jones wants to keep it standing using his range to stop Evans TDs. If it is true that Jones had trouble on his back with Evans in training then the chance of Jones standing throughout the fight could be big.
Do you think Evans could stand with Jones? because I dont have a proper idea how it could play out even after trying to analyse it many times.
I am rooting for Evans btw as a fan.

And my prediction is...
Rashad closes the distance early, goes for a takedown, jones defends but they end up on the fence. Eventually evans ends up on the fence, Jones gets the take down, lands a big elbow and its a round 1 tko for jones
