Yeah, I agree about the UFC's policy on discipline for fighters, it's all over the map.

They aren't exactly the same situation, but the problem here isn't the specifics, it's what I said above, the UFC has no coherent policy on fighter discipline.
I understand why Dana doesn't want to do some zero tolerance thing on the fighters media stuff, I think zero tolerance means zero discretion.
But you can still have a consistent policy on fighter discipline without giving up your discretion, the only policy the UFC has on discipline right now is 'Whatever Dana feels like today'.
That is simply not fair to the fighters, they are encouraged to get out in the public eye and twitter away, yet they have no idea what will happen to them if they screw up. That is really really bush league.
Edit -- I should mention I feel that way even for Diaz. I hate Diaz, and I think he's a tard, but one area I have a little sympathy for him is the policy on discipline. He screwed up, and had to know he was, but if he says he doesn't know what the punishment is, or the policy, or how it works, well he is at least partly right about that, they just make up punishments as they go along.
