Yeah Akiyama was clearly the better fighter but he must have melted his brain from all the tanning or something because he fought like a retard.

Oh look another name for Akiyama. They really wanna milk every PPV buy out of him before they cut him.

I'm going with Hardy based on Akiyama's last fight. He doesn't look like he wants to be in their anymore.

Akiyama fought Bisping on free TV.

Other than UFC 100 and UFC 116 which he had nothing to do with buyrate wise the PPV's he's not been on many high selling PPV's, UFC 144's buyrate was a huge disappointment.

You know what's funny. Between the two they both have a combined loss record [in the UFC] of eight fights...lolz! Eight fights which means they both lost four in a row...think they set a UFC record.

That's what makes the UFC and the sport of MMA so interesting. There's no ruling body to say who or when anyone gets fired or hired. Also who gets the championship title fight. Mir lost to Brock + Carwin, but has rattled off wins against Roy, Mirko, and Big Nog. Now he gets a title fight which I don't really mind, but it's by default. They can't put an immediately rematch with Cain, or Big Foot so they're forced to put Mir in or risk scrapping a title fight. Same situation with Rashad/JBJ against Shogun.

Anyways...we all know this will be a loser leaves fight. Expect fireworks cuz they both like to bang!

Good matchup, but the UFC will never make it. Both are very popular in their respective countries. Both too valuable to further their losing streak and maybe end up having to cut them. But I would have Akiyama by total domination.

I like both guys and considering that they are both on like a 4 fight losing streak, I wouldn't want them to fight each other. I think Akiyama would take it because he is more well rounded.
