The past is the past... both the fighters he's mentioned are currently on winning streaks and are strong front runners for the next title shot. Sanchez is coming off a loss and a weight change due to being ineffective at his previous weight class. I'm not trying to shit on the dude, but neither Pettis or Diaz have anything to gain fighting him.

I think it would be a great move, he looked a lot better at LW than at WW in my opinion. Though i think calling out Pettis is not a great move, the only way Diego would win is by taking him down and smothering him.

I think he performs better as a LW. What's Sean Sherk up to nowadays? Diego/Sherk anyone?

It weirds me out that he used to look buff at 185 and now looks fat at 170. Meh, whatever.

I think Diego is more or less done being a top fighter in any weight class. He's a natural 155er so this is a good move, but I'm not convinced he beats Mark Bocek at this point.

Well, this I agree with. Not much to gain as far as advancing in the division.

I think he can be champ at 155 if BJ is out of his away.

McCall, Faber, Aldo, Nate, Nick, Lyoto, TBD, Hunt
Forever hanging in Anderson Silva nuts

No way. Sanchez doesn't beat Edgar, Bendo, Maynard, Miller or even Guillard.

I think he does.
The thing with LW is that despite the top 5/7 being all very close skill wise, none of them is a flawless type of fighter,
like GSP, Silva or Bones. A guy like Sanchez with the right gameplan can get a W against any of those guys.

Gameplans are all well and good, but all Sanchez really has going for him is great heart and cardio and aggression. Those things will NOT get you a title. Even his number weapon which is his wrestling isn't very strong these days. That won't cut it with the top 5 at LW. Oh and Bones is NOT a perfect fighter.
