Why did Sylvia lose his aggression?

First, let me start off by saying that this is not a Tim Sylvia hate thread! I think we had plenty of those on this forum. This thread is more of why this man, Tim Sylvia, lost his aggression! How and when did it happen? I seen his past fights and he wasn't always like this. When he had the title the first time he wasn't always this cautious. Did something happen to him mentally, like David Loiseau, that would make him fight like this? Like maybe his loses to Frank Mir and AA just broke him down mentally? What are your thoughts and please don't say its because he is a talentless orge because that's just bullsh*t!

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

I think he just went into the Couture fight with the wrong game plan. he probably trained mostly to defend takedowns. after then his whole game plan was turned upside down.

Honestly, I really think that when Tim was on the juice he was a diffrent fighter. He was alot stronger and seemed to have more aggression. He has never been knocked out or beaten badly like the Crow so that cant be an excuse . It has to be obvious to everyone Sylvia hasnt been the same since he's been off the Winstrol.

Did they actually say how long he's been on the roids? I know he was caught after the Gan Mcgee fight but did they ever say how long he was doing it?

The statements about him being different on "the juice" I agree with, but I also think it's because he loves the belt too much. I hope that now that he's without it he will fight more aggressively. He's way too worried about losing the belt and thus too cautious when he has it.

I think that sirdilznik's comments about Tim loving his belt too much was right on the button. Also he took Randy way too light and Randy comming right out and knocking him on his can with the first punch put the fear of losing his belt in his head and he never recovered.

As to the roids ... from what I have heard and I believe it, Tim was tired of having people call him fat and out of shape and he was only taking them to try to get some definition. I can relate to that (no I've never taken roids) But I am a big guy, and no matter how hard I work, I don't get cut up and look like some kind of body builder. I get bigger but never get the definition. So when he says that is why he was taking them, I can relate and believe him. And frankly, I didn't see a big aggression difference when he was on them. I do think the first AA fight is still in his head, even tho he avenged the loss twice, I think he is extra careful so that don't happen again. Can't wait to see what he does from here, I have always given him the respect he was due.

alot of you guys keep talking about the roids made him a great fighter. But the Tra Telligman fight was after he got busted and he looked really aggressive and dominant in that fight. That kick is something that will live with me forever.. haha

I think Joe Rogan was talking about the Miletich guys, saying that Matt Hughes is relatively cool about being the champion, but that for Sylvia it was a really big deal, or became a really big deal. So I think that's a lot of it.
