I admit, he did. He did a lot better here than he did on that sportsnight one, but at the end of the day, talk is cheap. It's the fighting that will answer everything.

I don't blame Jones for taking a few shots at Rashad. As soon as he started talking Rashad was shouting over him. Kinda ridiculous.
And the Bones was saying 'the kids love me, I'm there team leader' and that 'the have nothing to offer' comment, I was cringing a bit as well.
Same with 'you gotta beat me to be the champ' BS. Absolutely idiotic statement, and i think Jones answered that very well.

Jon Jones on being humble:
"Im humble man. I probably the most humble person ever. You see that guy? I sooo much more humble than him. Jon Anik? You think you're humble? Im probably 100 times more humble than you are. Im pretty sure Im the most humble person on the planet."
Jon Jones on his team mates:
"There is no "I" in team. Do you know why? Because I told them to remove it. They do everything I say. They worship me, like Im their king..."
2 seconds later
"Ever since Ive become King, my peasants really worship me a lot more. As it should be."
Jone Jones on fighting:
"I dont feel like Im hurting my opponents when I hit them. I feel like Im blessing them with my touch. Who else would be allowed to get this close to me? My peasants would NEVER allow that without my permission. NEVER."
Yes, Im trying to be funny. Dont neg rep me too bad.

I feel bad for Rashad...he has so much riding on this fight...
As for JBJ, he is super talented and physically gifted. I really think he is the P4P right now (even though I am a GSP nuthugger lol).
I think he would demolish AS...
But I can't root for him...he is just too arrogant and cocky. I know he isn't trying to be which is even worse...
I hope Rashad's got what it takes...

jones really tries to be a nice guy.. but man does he come off the other way. at least with rashad he knows he's cocky and he admits it.

tbf it wasnt really hard to bury rashad after that comment about "u arent the champ until you have beaten me" There is bravado and then there is delusional and that comment seemed out of character for rashad. Its like he was channelling chael

LOL Rashad
"You can't be the champ until you beat me!"
What the **** is he on? Jones just wrecked the top 3 guys in his division. And I mean wrecked almost as literally as possible. Steamrolled. Finished all of them. Shogun hadn't ever been knocked out. Ever. That dude has a long and storied history in this sport even at his young age. Lyoto is possibly the second best all around fighter in that division other than Jones and Shogun (I put them in the same spot, honestly [Note, that's based on all around skillset and talent, not Fighter History Ranking]). Choked him out VICIOUSLY. Know how many times Lyoto has been tapped? 0. He also tapped Rampage and beat him pretty much that whole fight. And Jones is right, if Rampage had pounced a little quicker or had just a little more takedown defense he probably won his fight with Rashad.
I understand Rashad is a GREAT fighter and by no means am I saying he cannot contend, especially given the circumstances of their training etc, but Jones is on a level I don't think he's ever seen. They've trained together and all, but I have a feeling that Jon is an entirely different animal once that cage locks. Rashad is going to be in a for a long night.

There are no 'what ifs' in fights. Rashad beat up Rampage fairly easily for the most part, and even after getting rocked he came back to win that round. That's like me saying 'oh well if Brock Lesnar could take a punch he would have beaten Alistair Overeem' or 'If Frankie Edgar wasn't so fast, he would have lost to BJ Penn'. You can't use those arguments anymore.
