Yeah, it's not cool and i'm glad (some) of you lot realise that. It's actually a spit in the face to Rashad. Dana/Lorenzo are basically trying spit their DNA right into Rashad's face. They don't respect Rashad and never have. I knew Dana didn't really think that Rashad was all that marketable but I used to think that he at least respected him as a fighter, but this move just confirms that he has been waiting for the opportunity to **** Rashad right in the arse. I thought that these people were neutral and just wanted exciting fights? You're gonna sponsor Jones but not give Rashad a thought? Man, **** the UFC. They just can't get enough of Jones' cock.

This is how I feel. And I suppose its disrespectful to the fighter they're sponsoring. They know that no fighter is eternal, and when Jones loses they'll stop making UFC shirts with his name on.

Liddell is a good example, but he was part of the UFC's coming out party so a face for the company was helpful at the time. I dont find it necessary now with the amount of talent and characters in each division, looks like favouritism.

But if it dont make money it dont make sense, and these shirts will make some money. Not mine. Would be cool if they picked 10 top names and made shirts for each of them.

I wouldn't mind if the UFC decided to sponsor ALL of the champs but if they stop at JBJ than its definitely not right.
Great motivation for Rashad.

Must be a honour for Jones but its most definitely not fair to Rashad. The UFC are pretty clear on who they want to win, I'd be angry if I were Rashad. It's cool though, when Rashad beats Jones maybe Rashad will get to wear those ugly shorts .

Ok man, pull it back a little. Realize that Jones is the only champion to fight/defend a belt three times in a year in quite a while. Most champs have 6 months plus inbetween, so Jones being active makes him very marketable. He has been in Budweiser commercials, ESPN bodies magazine, doing interviews all over the place. If I was the UFC I would rather him wearing a UFC shirt over a Affliction or Silverstar or anything else. Right now Jones is the leading active face of the UFC, like it or not, so this makes sense business wise.

Come on man even you can't possibly justify this. There is absolutely nothing and i mean NOTHING you can say that would make me think that it's ok to sponsor ONE guy on a 1000+ roster.

I'm pulling for Jones just because I love watching him dominate.

But this just made me not mind seeing Rashad win.

Has the UFC ever sponsored a fighter in this way?

I don't want Jones as the face of the UFC. Please beat him down Rashad.

It may make sense but what happens if Rashad gets Jones down and we get another case of Rumble/Belfort?

What if Jones/Evans is close and Jones gets the decision but many feel Rashad should have got it?

The UFC's really opening up a can of worms they may not wanna open and for a long time I've thought the UFC was a fair and unbiased organization but after the constant stand ups during Rumble/Belfort I don't believe that anymore.
