I don't mind the ratings besides Rampage being #5. Ariel just wants to be on Rampage's good side as they did some much the past two months together with interviews and that hour long footage around Japan with the two of them. If he puts him out of the top 10 or 8, 9 then Rampage will go off on him again.

I should also add that the thread just sounds too literal. Just have fun with the sport being a fan. Dana is giving us free events... Enjoy it and don't think about firing people. Think about hiring!

Worst division in the sport IMO....yes..including HW.

And yeah, Rampage being top 10 is ridiculous...I think Forrest is the only one that can rival him as the worst top 10 fighter across all divisions in MMA.

Rampage beat Machida but Bader beat Rampage. Should Bader be ranked above Rampage?

Rankings should be a consensus over the last few fights and although one could argue Rampage hasn't done much to warrant his spot on Ariel's list, Bader not so long ago got choked out by Tito Ortiz.

I think it is defiantly one of the thinnest divisions. Not sure about worst though. To me 135 and 145 still need a bunch of work. The top of the 205 division gives them a pass for me. Jones, Evans, Shogun, Machida, Gustaf are all very skilled fighters.

I would say the overall skill level of the top 5 at 205 is better than any division. But after about 6 or 7 guys there really isn't anyone relevant. Or even young guys with talents. Gustaf was that guy, but now he is towards the top of the division and isn't a prospect any more.

People stop making ridiculing comments please.

Also wrapped the pic in the OP in spoiler-tags - just so it doesn't make the board 4 feet wide

Only problem with that picture is one or two of the records are wrong. As for the ranking, its all opinion.

Maybe it just wasn't updated or its an oversight - I dont think he would have Rampage at 5, i think you should always be moved above a guy who you just beat....so bader should go up a little and Rampage needs a big drop.

Also, re-size your damn picture or put it in a spoiler. Shits annoying.
If we used your logic Machida would be ahead of Rashad and Machida's barely top ten as it is. I've got nothing wrong with opinions but when the "best journalist" in MMA doesn't even watch MMA what does that say about MMA as a whole?

I understand the sport's declined hard in the United States since 09 and the mainstream media doesn't even take it seriously to begin with but this is laughable. Just goes to show MMA's still got a long way to go before it's taken seriously.
