This doesn't prove a lot. That guy walked straight into that punch, and he didn't look like he is used to taking punches from professional mma fighters.

I might be wrong but I have a feeling that was staged.

Lots of times before fights you hear about how their guy ko'd training partners and I honestly believe it's for show, to intimidate the other fighter.

This might not be staged since there is a video for it, but I'm still slightly skeptical.

It's old footage from Greg Jackson's documentary anyway. At least 1-2 years ago.

I too have a feeling it was staged.

But even if it wasn't, the guy didn't look like a world beater, Bones' sparring partners should be at a higher level of striking than he is. He should be sparring a guy like Bonjasky.

People get knocked out by 16oz gloves everyday. He is a professional fighter over 200lbs, I would hope he has the ability to KO someone.

Why isn't the guy wearing headgear if it's sparring?

I realize they don't wear it all the time, but if it's just practice, I sure as hell would be wearing it if I were sparring with Jones.

Not that I think it's fake at all. Why would Rashad Evans be intimidated by a random video of Jones knocking out some nobody in practice? If Evans isn't intimidated by what Jones did to Machida/Vera/Shogun, he sure won't care about anything else.

Looked real, quite a solid jab, just with a really shitty guy.

I wonder why they threw him in with Bones, dude had his hands down just walking into a punch, zero technique or chin.

Im not impressed with it cause its just sparring and Im sure they were just throwing different guys at him to get a work out. I don't think they were trying to intimidate anyone by releasing this footage. But I do find it comical that the level of hate is SO GREAT that some of you think it was staged...question how many takes do you think it took? If it was staged then why did they go straight back into the session to finish the round, wouldn't Jon's "public image" be better served to be standing over the KO'd sparring partner in tears screaming at the ceiling WHYYYY!!!!! Come on guys cut this kid some slack.

my images reflect in the enemies eye,
and his images reflect in mine the same time

That explains why he looked so skinny. I was about to ask how old this was.
