Dana Talks About Greg Jackson

Quote:
"There is one thing that is an absolute fact, and no matter how often Greg Jackson pumps that family [expletive], Greg Jackson is a [expletive] businessman. The more top guys he brings in, the more money he makes. There's nothing wrong with Greg Jackson, but he's a [expletive] businessman. Some of these fighters, who ought to know better but don't listen to that [expletive] and don't take it for the crock of [expletive] that it is. These guys need to make the decision where they train based on where they think they'll get the best work and develop the best, and not on this [expletive] crazy idea that you're becoming a part of a family. Greg Jackson [expletive] told Rashad this wouldn't happen, that they're family and all that other [expletive], but look what is going on now. Look and see who is at Jackson's and who is not. Train where you think it's going to be best for you and if that's Jackson's, that's fine. Just don't buy into this family [expletive] because there's nothing to it. This is the fight business, not the friend business."

He's not wrong but I wonder if he's just saying this to ease Rashad if you will since all this stuff about betting on Jones/sponsering Jones is out there.

Jackson is greasy. No doubts. And I can't stand Mike Winkeljohn.

Dana is correct. At the end of the day, people are about the green.

Dana is [expletive] business man too- who freaking cares? Dana has played favorites, doesn't treat all fighters equally and makes the best choices/decisions for his company and business' profits and not for the fighters.

He should look into the mirror- this is crap.

I don't think he's saying anything to the contrary. Dana knows who and what he is. And he doesn't hide that fact. Whereas Jackson does. That's all he's getting at. Nothing more, nothing less.

Most camps preach the "family" aspect but fighters come and go as they should if they feel like could get better training or treatment at another camp. To single out Jackson is BS- of course Jackson is a business man and uses something to bring fighters in. Just like Dana I'm pretty sure Greg wants to do best by his business and you can never please everyone or handle everything or person perfectly. For Dana to call him a [expletive] businessman is the pot calling the kettle black.

I have always found the whole team and family thing in this sport to be stupid. This is an individual sport, your team cant help you once you step into the cage. It doesnt do you a damn bit of good if your team mate is successful and you arent winning. What you get out of this sport is based on your own success (if you are a fighter, no someone else's. The idea of teams and family in this sport is laughable.
