Dana White and the UFC owes Anderson Silva the Respect to let him fight in his Home country. The man is 14-0 with the organization and has held the MW title longer then any fighter ever.
Chael Sonnen is the one who has insulted Brazil, and continued to run his mouth about Anderson and his Friends and Family. It's not Silvas fault that Dana can't get a venue booked...They promised Silva a fight in Brazil with Chael...
Lets not forget he already beat a cheating Chael Sonnen in the U.S.

If Reem gets "cleared to fight" I might actually half ass believe this.
I don't blame the champ for wanting to fight in Brazil. He doesn't have many left in him. Plus he already fought Chaell in America so I'm sure he feels he's due a home court advantage for what many people think will be the toughest fight of his career.

I don't believe this. Dana said the rumor is not true at all. So I will go with him over some dude on twitter with 5,000 followers.
But even if it were true I would understand what ANderson is feeling. They said Sonnen/Silva 2 would be in a soccer stadium in Brazil. Why get the Brazilian people all excited for a MASSIVE event...Dana saying it will be one of the biggest sporting events of the year....just to change it to Vegas?
Sure they can't get a deal done because something else is scheduled there around that time. Why can't they move it back a couple weeks?
Sonnen has talked and continues to talk shit about Brazil. Anderson beat him last time. So I would think Anderson and Brazil deserves to see the mouth up close in person.
Anderson had to go to Cincy to fight Franklin the 2nd time. And he WON the 1st time. The winner had to actually go to the other man's home town. Obviously it isn't as big of a deal as Brazil. But Sonnen lost. It is only fair that the Brazilian people get to see Chael beat down in front of their eyes.
If Chael actually meant what he said about fighting anyone anywhere anytime. And earning crap. Then why doesn't he demand that he beats Silva in front of his own people?

I have to agree. Fighting in Brazil, in front of one of the largest crowds in history? That's a milestone, and I don't see why Anderson should be made to miss out. He's certainly earned it. I could entirely understand his gripe, though like many of you, I'll wait until something a little more concrete comes out.

I would just think if they were having problems with Brazil on that date...that they would try everything to move the date or work it out. They have talked about this event for a long time and Dana seemed real excited for this one. Just seems like if it was so big, why wouldn't they try everything to hold it there? I mean taking this fight to Vegas doesn't do it justice. How many does Vegas usually hold? 15-18,000? Vs. a Soccer Stadium that would go 60,000 to 80,000?
Also, think of what Anderson has been envisioning every day in the gym? Beating Chael in front of his home crowd. Probably seeing the Aldo finish in his head. The fight being in Brazil in a soccer stadium was probably a lot of Silva's motivation for this fight. If you were to say well we are going to Vegas now....he would probably feel like the rug was pull out from under him.

I'd prefer the fight in the USA anyway between Sonnen and Silva, Sonnen in front of thousands of Brazilians? After what he's been saying? There's having "hometown advantage" but it would've just got onto another level lol.
