If we're excluding heavyweights.. I think only the likes of Rashad and Anderson would stand a chance against Bones. And Rashad lost... He didn't do THAT BAD... but he didn't do to well either.

i think gustafasson but before giving him a jones fight he should fight first 2 strikers(machida, shogun) and 2 wrestlers(phildavis, rashad). He has the tools when in comes to stand up like good punches and foot work just like machida that gave problems to jones.

Eh.. it's hard to say. Both had successful moments, honestly I'd say they both did about the same, only Rashad didn't get finished.

Rasahd did do that bad. He got dominated like a Japanese businessman on holiday. As soon as he looked like he was figuring out Jon's reach, Jones stepped inside his reach and started hitting him with elbows. That's not a fight, that's target practice.

Anderson would just get taken down and mauled.

Prime Randy is interesting to me, because he could actually win the clinch battle against Jones. Other than that, no one outside of heavyweight has any more than a puncher's chance.

what you need is a sambo/judo guy with insane speed, reflexes and agression, relentless in the stand up, deadly accuracy with a punch. leg breaking kicks and a slick submission ground game. this dude needs to be the kind of guy that is literally never dominated in the stand up and who has a history or destroying larger over hyped opponents.

also must have a good hips, balance and a serious takedown and destroy game.

youre right...cant think of anyone.

I thought I was following you for a while, but then I realized the guy I was thinking of was recently submitted, knocked out, and G&P'd back into the stone age. so yeah, can't think of anyone.

lol bs. im not even getting into the dumbass it takes to buy that shit. he got trolled by werdum, and taken down by silva. the hendo bs stoppage was a joke.

however you look at it, and i just know you are going to scream dana white c*m bubbles at me... werdum, hendo and silva were on their asses for a reason. a more cautious gnp and we wouldnt even be having this conversation. all you are left with is some empty argument about a sambo atg being vulnerable to take downs.

i think style wise it is an obvious nightmare for the son of black jesus in this one. i know its not the obvious choice and it will never happen, but if we are talking about styles, then relentless striking, and a sick balance, takedown and sub game is the likely kryptonite for jones. that or even just a decent heavyweight and not just the p4p goat fighter ever in the sport.

please also remember the difference between a heavyweight with heavyweight power who is used to destroying people twice his size and a heavyweight who has made a career out of staying trim and dominating people in a weight class below his natural one.

Just a thought.. but what about Chael Sonnen? That style would be interesting... how would Jones do against a strong wrestler who is CONSTANTLY attacking. Jones would probably win, but it's interesting none the less.
