I distinctly remember him being in the title discussion as he was on a four fight win streak.
So then Rumble was not top ten when he fought Kos.

Hey maybe Sanchez was top 5. I honestly do not remember.

Disagree with UFC HOF in general, it should be MMA HOF from all organizations.

Penn and Ortiz deserve to be in it.

Sanchez was definitely top 5, he had just beaten Karo Paryisan and Nick Diaz, BJ dropped down, Hughes lost to GSP, Serra got the gifted title shot because of TUF. Top five would have likely been Kos, Sanchez, Alves, GSP, and Hughes.

As for this notion of "he's not in the top ten when they fought". This argument holds no water with me, this isn't the HW or LHW division where you have top ten guys facing top ten guys every year. The champion faces top ten guys and everyone else makes their case through momentum.

Carlos Condit didn't face a top ten guy in the top ten till he was fighting for the WW interim title.

Koscheck wasn't allowed to face Hughes until Hughes fell out of the top ten. And I would remind you they never matched Hughes with Fitch and they were in the top 10 together for years.

Jon Fitch was the undisputed 2# WW in the world and on the p4p discussion and the only top ten WW's he fought and beat Sanchez in 07 Thiago in 09 and Alves in 2010. He certainly didn't get to face one after the other.

I'm happy to see Penn being inducted but as much as I love Hendo I don't think in the UFC he deserves a spot in the HOF.

He had two failed attempts at the belt and will most likely have a third failed attempt against Jones even though I'll be rooting for him like crazy. His UFC accomplishments are winning the UFC 17 middleweight tournament before Dana got involved. Getting wins over Palhares, Bisping, Rich Franklin, and Maurício Rua is impressive since they're all great top notch competitors, but even with those wins, I couldn't justify putting Dan in the UFC hall of fame. Now if there was an MMA hall of fame, I would pick him in a heart beat. ---> Feels good not being biased towards one of my top three favorite fighters of all time lol

Also, it's nice to see Tito get some time in the sun, but if he wasn't inducted, I wouldn't be bothered in the slightest. At the same time, he did defend his belt a crap load of times in the past, so I can also agree with someone who says he should be in it. Bottom line with tito, i'm indifferent.

1. BJ "The Prodigy" Penn
2. Dan "Hollywood" Henderson
3. George "Rush" St Pierre

Both guys deserve it. But I agree with some of the guys in here, there should be a universal MMA HOF, not a UFC HOF. Fedor Emelianenko will never be inducted in a UFC HOF supervised by Dana White, and that alone makes this Hall pretty useless.

Agreed completely. Either have the legends in the HOF, or don't have any, otherwise it makes your list look retarded.

Well to be fair, its called the UFC Hall of Fame, not the MMA Hall of Fame, so their list isn't really retarded.

The UFC HOF shouldn't exist.

I don't take it seriously on any level, and would only take an MMA HOF serious, one that has all legends and not ones that are cherry picked because it only accepts fighters from a single org.

Such a list, in my opinion, is retarded.

Having Charles Lewis on the list certainly helps it's credibility. That dude was an awesome fighter, oh wait.

Well, the UFC can only really make a Hall of Fame for their own organisation. I see what you're saying, but who would organise such a HoF? I'm sure if the UFC decided to take charge of an MMA HoF, there would be even more complaints to the tune of 'who gave them the right to decide'.

What's needed is a recognised MMA HoF seperate from any organisation, but hey, if you want to get that started I wish you luck. For the moment it is what it is, I don't think the UFC is retarded for having their own list for their own company, they don't try to call it an MMA HoF, they call it the UFC HoF. And I think its a decent list.

In my humble opinion, good sir.
