Should Brock Lesnar be in the Hall of Fame?
A Hall of Fame is to honor individuals of noteworthy achievement in that field.
He is retired. He brought millions of new fans to the UFC and achieved a lot in a short space of time against a murderers row of opponents. He fought disease and he fought inexperience and he succeeded in winning and defending a title and helping to boost the UFC in years of incredible expansion.
His name is synonymous with an era of MMA.

No, aside from the hardcore MMA fan everyone will have forgotten about him in a couple of years. His name isn't synonymous with anything about MMA. When you say the name Lesnar, you think WWE not UFC.

I was a fan of his but I don't think he has earned a spot in the HOF. Sure he was a champion but he was unimpressive in his first defense against Carwin and lost it in his next. His accomplishments include going 1-1 with Frank Mir, beating Heath Herring (who hasn't fought a single MMA match since), and beating Randy Couture, who he outweighed by nearly 30 pounds. I think his story is interesting and he was a force in the Heavyweight division during his short career, but I don't think he has earned the right to enter the hall with the legends of the sport.

The MMA HoF is already pretty watered down, but no, I don't think so. What the guy did was amazing, all things considered, but the guy had a record barely over .500, and never really beat a dominant fighter at the prime of his career.

Either way I have no complaints, he was champ and actually was famous coming in and helped to grow the sport, his PPV numbers don't lie and they say he contributed a lot to the UFC. That said his in cage accomplishments alone are not enough to justify him a spot.

My exact sentiments. If he had stayed around and kept fighting, and won the title again I'd say yes, but he wasn't around long enough to secure a spot.

Dang, he got a bunch of wrestling fans to watch him fight. We should just give him the belt back right now and let him run the UFC while we're at it.

PPV buy rates should never equate to a reason to include someone in a Hall of Fame in my opinion. A hall of fame inductee should have won a lot of fights, won titles, and for the most part, been fairly consistent. Brock accomplished a lot in his short career, but not enough to be in the HOF. But I have a feeling Dana will add him some day.
