Siyar Bahadurzada is muslim. he is also afghani. he enters the ring in his afghani flag and wants the world to know who he is an where he is coming from. he also has strong opinions about the war.

he has a right to. he lived through it.

my question is a simple one. if like many american fighters Siyar started thanking his god and saying can i get an "Allahu Akbar" bendo style after the fights...how would that go down? and would you have a problem with it?

It would undoubtedly be met with boos anywhere in the States. Drunk people + any religion that's not Christianity is a bad combo.

I personally wouldn't care but I still think religion should be left at home or in interviews. It has no place in the octagon, IMO.

I don't support any religion, but in complete honesty, if any brown person is yelling anything at all I get nervous. Nothing against the race, but let's just say they don't have the best track record of peaceful yelling or yelling followed by explosions.

I wouldn't care at all. I'd probably chuckle if he asked the crowd to give him an Allahu Akbar because it'd be met with either silence or boos.

But like G said, you'd only get upset if you're ignorant. If he wins and gets the mic, let him say whatever he wants.

Plus, he made Thiago plank in the ring, I love fighters who make other fighters plank. (No disrespect)
