I personally would like to see Jones challenge himself on another level by trying to be the first fighter in UFC history to hold two belts simultaneously. Considering how frequently Jones is willing and able to fight, and how shallow the Heavyweight division is, I think he could definitely defend both titles if he wanted to.

Defending both would be a nightmare if he ever got injured, plus would hold up not one, but two divisions!

Also, the HW division isn't shallow at all.

JDS
Overeem
Carwin
Cain
Mir
Nog
Werdum
Big Foot

New additions from strikeforce will be

Barnett
Cormier

I say only Anderson could have done it. Can JBJ beat Cain, JDS, Werdum, Carwin, and heck even Struve. He seems so anxious to test himself...I say give him what he wants.

Anderson never wanted to fight in LHW. He did it as a favor for the UFC to counter Affliction. He also had everything to lose going against "The Sandman" who is no slouch.

As fast as Jones has risen to the top (although in 2009 some could say they saw this coming) lets not get too far ahead of ourselves. I would like to see him have at least 4 more fights at LHW before entertaining the idea of him going to HW.

4 fights against whom? Barring Henderson, he's already beaten the best of the division. Assuming he wins his next fight, no other challenger really remains who is deserving of a shot. Sure, Gustaffson and Davis might put together some wins, but really, I don't see them a) doing it or b) posing a threat to Jones if they do.

The truth is, Jones is ready to fight at HW competitively. BJ got more and did less.
