So Hendricks is gonna wait possibly a year for a title shot?

Ugh, no. He'll fight the winner of Kampmann/Ellenberger if he wins and then if Georges returns as the unstoppable machine he was before the injury he'll beat Condit and the winner of Kampmann/Ellenberger vs. Hendricks and we're right back where we were before. Welterweight is cleaned out.

we need more title fights period, injuries and rematches are kinda messing things up.

Having said that, if Nate and Hendricks win I think they can both make for exciting title fights.

- also, Condit waiting for GSP kinda sucks, too long imo.

I really don't get why.

The next title fights at both 155 and 170 are set and won't happen for months, and none of these four guys have been outstanding to the point where they deserve an automatic title shot.

Why not have Pettis fight the winner of Miller/Diaz and have the winner of Ellenberger/Kampmann fight the winner of Koscheck/Hendricks? That makes way more sense to me in terms of timing, marketing, and overall fairness.

As I see it with this approach, the top contenders don't need to eliminate each other until only one is left standing to face the champ. Then if/when the champ wins, there will be other worthy contenders sill out there to face.

Hopefully this will lead to more title fights.

he's looked fantastic in his last two fights, very Nick Diaz like. he's defo gonna be a draw like his brother soon and he's becoming such an excellent fighter recently and his record if he beats Miller would warrant a title shot.

Who knows. From a business point of view, UFC pretty much needs Hendricks, Diaz, Ellenberger and Pettis to win their next fights.
