I agree style wise the fight with Silva was a plus for Sonnen, probably the only credibility fans saw in his huge underdog position of beating Silva. You must remember pre fight, T.Alves laughing at Sonnens comments of dominating Silva during the fight.
Sonnen then lost the fight after dominating Silva. It was very one sided for Sonnen. He mostly backed his smack talk and previously fully backed it being the underdog against Okami and Marquardt.

, I don’t believe he knows any submissions, he’s got no real competitive boxing or kickboxing, but he is a fantastic fighter when you stick him in the cage and you turn him loose."

Editors Note: Rampage's boxing was pretty tight when he was with Ibarra.
If that is true then neither can hendo right?

These fights didnt have any smack talk in the lead up so how could he have backed up his words? And sonnen was not an underdog against okami I remember ppl being rather apathetic over the outcome..I will say that he was against nate but there could be a case that nate did much more damage from the bottom in that fight (see mausasi v lawal)

Somebody needs to replace Sonnens humour chip. There's only so many times we can listen to the same old thing. He needs an update. As it stands, listening to my Speak n Spell is more amusing.

I'm actually embarrassed that I used to like his ramblings.

people need to take it easy on Rampage, we don;t know what's going on behind the sense. Rampage has done a lot for the sport of mma and has a great personality.

He's a fighting at heart, I guess he realize its the end of the road for him in terms of belts. Is it so wrong the guy wants to fight certain fighters? The man wants to fight Shogun or Forrest, guys who put on an exciting fight. Before he wanted Wandy another guy who comes to fight.

Realistically I think there is something going on with the UFC and Rampage, hence they always give him a certain type of fighters. Look at Wandy he gets strikers(Leben, bisping,Le,Vitor), shogun called wanted Forrest he got it.

I don't get the hate for Rampage , the man is a fighter and wants to fight and give us an exciting fight. Its not like he's ducking anyone, the man called out shogun, the last time they fought Shogun whooped his ass. Its not like he is asking for an easy fight or a pay check. A Shogun vs Rampage fight would be exciting as hell from a fan's perspective.

As for Chael Sonnen, he is one fight away from being irrelevant or a MMA superstar. He can talk all he wants, but the man needs to come up with new material its getting repetitive and boring.

You act as though Chael is running up to the guy and asking for an interview. No. The guy asked him. Chael was nice enough to answer his questions and give us something to watch. Would you rather him just say "**** you," to anyone who asks him questions?

Chael is somewhat correct, his technical view of Quinton as a fighter is not correct.

In terms of potential, Rampage is one of the best the sport has seen. Where technique is concerned, he is highly skilled. His achievements are great, even greater when you understand that he did not reach his potential.

Rampage could teach Chael many things in the gym, but Chael is definitely superior in how to approach the sport mentally. No need for him to speak out against Quinton.

I don't know man, Chael has been doing this sport longer, but is now starting to see success Rampage was getting way back in the days. I think Rampage has just had enough with it, and is ready to move on. I don't think Chael is in a position to tell anyone how to approach the sport mentally as he lacks credibility.

Plus Rampage is not the first or or last fighter to have issues with the UFC.

That's because Rampage is a character, everyone says Chael is WWE but he's not guys like Rampage and Mayhem Miller are more WWE than Chael who is a lot like a Floyd Mayweather, no elaborate characteristics with Chael(wearing a chain around his neck, howling/dancing with japanese school girls)
