Hunt out of UFC 146 Lavar Johnson to fight Struve

http://www.mmashareforum.com/serious...-w-t55743.html

May 17, 2012 - Mark Hunt has been forced to pull out of his UFC 146 fight against Stefan Struve due to an undisclosed injury, MMA Fighting has learned from sources close to the fight. As a result, Struve will now face Lavar Johnson on less than two week's notice.

Johnson last fought just 12 days ago at UFC on FOX 3. He knocked out Pat Barry in the first round of their main card fight.

Hunt, a winner in his last three fights, has enjoyed a career renaissance in the UFC, so much so that there was a strong online movement to get him to replace Alistair Overeem against Junior dos Santos in the UFC 146 main event. As fate would have it, neither Overeem or Hunt will end up fighting on the card after all.

Great chance for Lavar to really solidify himself in the division seemingly out of nowhere. He finished Barry fairly quick after all so he's ready

good thing they went with mir. lol.

great name making fight. expect "insert name" is legit, if he comes through this one.

struve would have conceivably finished him on the ground (in barrys position). if it stays standing the winner gets a nice head on the mantelpiece.

obvious ko/sub potential for lavar and stephan respectively.

Very good shot for Lavar and a very bad matchup for Struve. Struve needs to get the fight to the groung fast as he clearly will be the better fighter there.

its funny. at 24 and with 23 wins and 4 ko losses, struve could wind up the most ktfo'd good fighter in history. he still hasnt lost one decision in 28 fights. hes only gone to decision once. ever.

must remember to always check prop odds for "fight to go the distance ?" on this dude.

This fight is either ending via KO for Johnson or via Sub for Struve. I am leaning towards Struve via sub. If Barry can mount him I am pretty sure struve can get this to the ground.

This is basically the same fight.

A heavy handed striker with God-awful ju-jitsu taking on a glass chinned MMA fighter.

Don't know what will happen, Johnson and Hunt both suck on the ground and Struve would have finished Hunt if he got him there, he can do the same to Johnson but he faces serious problems if he can't get either guy to the ground.

Sucks man, was hoping to see some Hunt. But this is a fun fight, either Struve submits him on the ground or Lavar is going to knock Struve into last week. I hope to see the KO but juudging by Lavars god awful ground work he showed in the last fight, i'm leaning towards Struve.

I don't see Struve getting the takedown or Lavar looking for one. The only way this fight gets to the ground is if Struve gets rocked and survives, which probably won't happen.

I got Johnson by KO.
