Cruiserweight, the HW division has a wide 60lb berth which I think is ludicrous and needs to be broken up. SHW would just attract the freak shows ie. lazy slugfests with terrible cardio.

You mean you don't want Bob Sapp in the UFC?

I don't think there would be enough guys to make any of the divisions. Flyweight, Lightheavyweight and Heavyweight are the 3 thinnest divisions with the least fighters in. In the UFC, heavyweight has 31 fighters, lightheavyweight has 29 fighters, and flyweighthas 11 fighters; whereas for example there are 63 at lightweight and 61 at welterweight. As all 3 weightclasses mentioned would just be modifications of the above 3, it would just take guys out of already thin divisions.

Now UFC has flyweight, i don't think we'll be seeing any new divisions for many many years.

Still not a fan of a cuiserweight division though I understand your reasoning - but hear me out:

First, making a 235 pound division would severely diminish the amount of talent at HW. The only fighters left up there would be people like Reem, Carwin and Lesnar (Had he stayed) and the rest would cut to 235.

Second, what have the two most recent HW champs been weighing in at? They aren't 265 pound monsters, but somewhere in the middle, which is another interesting thing about the division. They're proving that weight isn't everything, which I love

As for the topic of the thread, I wouldn't like either Strawweight nor SHW. SW lacks depth and SHW would make the sport look absolutely stupid, sluggish and way less serious.

I love that they've added Flyweight, but they need to stop there (For the foreseable future at least)
We've seen what great fights the 125'ers can put on though, and I love the small guy, but SW is just one step to far ATM.

A womens division should come before it.

Open weight is the way to go, fight at any weight you desire.

The answer is one.. No need for more divisions, but what about an Open weight Tournament for the best of the best? Of course the small weight classes would be in disadvantage but we could see super fights!

Also, a serious suggestion is to lower the HW's division weight limit. Maybe to 255 or 260. If it was my decision the LHW would be 185-210 and the HW 210-250. Let me know your opinion on that

The weight c,asses are fine as is right now. The positives coming from splitting up heavyweight or bringing in a lower weight class is heavily outweighed by the lack of talent or destroying heavyweight.

Openweight is a fun idea to entertain, but it really would lead to some freak shows. For example, I just stumbled upon a video of some 155er fighting a 600 lb "sumo wrestler" (he was really just fat). It was actually entertaining to watch but more in a morbid curiosity sort of way. Like "hey wouldn't it be crazy if ___ ?" I think those kinds of fights shouldn't take place anywhere but Japan. They're the only country that's already crazy enough to get away with it.

Give everything.
Give blood.
