I like Condit vs. Kampmann II... Of course because I'm a huge Kampmann supporter, but also because I like the intrigue of the rematch and the type of fight it could be.

Hendricks has beaten bigger names, but i still want Kampmann to face Condit because I'm more impressed by him

i hate the idea that the interim champ(i.e no 1 contender) isnt made to fight. he has a belt to keep the division going so why allow him to wait for the real champ!

if they are going to do these interim title method they should strip champions that do not fight in a 12 month period and they can have the first shot at the new champ after they return. and the new champ can get on with working out the best of the rest

Hendricks just got beaten by Koscheck and Mike Pierce so I don't see why he should be in the mix.

It's too late to schedule a defense for Condit, GSP's back in November and the UFC already has main events till September(UFC 151 - Jones/Hendo) announced.

That would mean Condit would have to fight in September or October and that's not going to happen.

Everyone keeps talking about a logjam, what logjam? Diaz has been figured out and in the wrestling heavy 170 lb division he won't ever make it to a title shot, guys who are favorable for him like Alves aren't highly ranked enough to get him a title shot and Ellenberger just lost to Kampmann.

GSP/Condit and Kampmann/Hendricks are going to happen, Condit probably should have defended the belt in June against Ellenberger since they both fought in February but Condit didn't want to take a fight in the interim and in MMA anything can happen, imagine if Condit took a fight and dominated it for the entire fight but got cut off a wild punch and couldn't continue and lost the belt? He's already beat Ellenberger and had a very close fight with Kampmann, I'm sure he's not ducking he's just being smart in a sport where anything can happen.

Condit I dont see giving a match to anyone until GSP is back which I think is wrong he has the Interim belt so the WW Division keeps on moving and doesn't stand still but it will like it will stand still while he waits for GSP.

All this talk about Hendricks not fighting until he gets a shot is just DERP! So after GSP Condit he wouldn't fight till next April or May? Don't think so. I like the idea of Kampmann being a interim champ because he will fight. I think Hendricks would pull a Condit as it seems he already thinks he can.

I think you mean he's already been told he can.

Also, the UFC isn't just fighting for most of these guys. It's a career and they do it for the money. A title fight has the potential to be an infinitely larger pay day than a non-title fight. Especially if he pulls out a win.

That's essentially what is happening. Kampmann vs Hendricks is a number one contenders bout but we already have a number one contender, Condit. So after Kampmann vs Hendricks happens in the next few months, then we will have to wait for the winner of GSP-Condit to heal up potentially for them to fight the number one contender.

That's the log jam. The next title fight isn't happening until November and who knows when the winner of Kampmann-Hendricks will get their shot. That winner will be put on ice as well to wait for their shot.

Why do I, as a fan, have to wait 9 god damn months for the interim title holder to fight?

The interim belt should be defended or it should be changing hands.

In 13 months we saw 4 LHW title fights. By comparison we have seen 2 title fights (one of which was an interim fight) in the past 13 months at WW and we have to wait an additional 6 more months for a third! I understand injuries happen, but why is there this sense of entitlement everyone is paying to Condit to allow him to wait for the shot?

I like Condit too, but as a fan of mma I'm sitting here scratching my head wondering what the hell they are thinking.
