Should Condit fight the winner of Hendricks/Kampmann?

Assuming Hendricks vs Kampmann happens in a timely fashion, is it fair for the Interim title belt holder Carlos Condit to have to defend his belt against the winner?

Personally I think he should have to fight. It's been hinted at and stated by other's that the Interim belt is just a marketing ploy the UFC has put into place for hyping the GSP-Condit fight, but I think he should have to defend it.

The whole idea of having an interim belt is to stop the clogging of a division. If Condit is allowed to wait for GSP, then does it not defeat the purpose?

What do you think?

By the time these two fight (Assuming the match-up is made in the first place), Condit will already be preparing to face GSP.

No, we should have a Grand Prix

Martin Kampmann vs Carlos Condit for the Interim Title

Deigo Sanchez vs Nick Diaz rematch with the winner getting a shot at a man they either beat or feel they should have beaten.

Josh Koscheck vs Jon Fitch in a match years in the making

Georges St. Pierre vs Johnny Hendricks for the official championship.

All four of those fights are main event fights with guys who have been on top of the division for years.

And you can run a 16 man alternate tournament to help even out the division and figure out where the Rory Macdonalds, Jake Ellenbergers, Demian Maia's, Mike Pierce, Siyar, John Maguire, John Hathaway, Thiago Alves, Brian Ebersole, DYK, and maybe bring back BJ and Lytle.

This is not only an awful idea with multiple problems, but it will never ever ever happen.
I assume Hendricks will fight Kampmann and the winner will fight the winner of GSP/Condit. At the end of the day, the true champion will come out on top anyway.

I think it's an absurd idea to have Hendricks fight again before getting a title fight. He just beat the two guys who have occupied the WW top 10's #2 and #3 position for the past five years. How many more people are they going to shuffle in front of him before he finally gets a shot at the gold. The only person I could understand having him fight would be Nick Diaz if he came back.

Hendricks should get GSP and Condit should face Kampmann.

Yes. It's ridiculous that Condit is considered a champion yet doesn't have to defend his belt. Why bother giving it to him? It's situations like these that show how useless an interim belt is. The only reason they make them apparently is so they can sell more in the "unification" match.

We have 3 possible no#1 contenders when that shouldn't even be the case. Condit should be facing either Kampmann or Hendricks and the other should fight GSP. No reason for this jam.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

I think that it's absurd to have an interim champion who wont defend.
