Doesn't make the win streak any more impressive. And the bulk of the high level of competition has been in the UFC or strikeforce while Lombard has been fighting nobodies in Bellator.

As far as replacements go Unfortunately I don't see it being Vitor/Belcher as both men are still hurt. Also with guys like Bisping/Shields/Cote/Franklin/Le/Weidman/Munoz/Herman all booked to fight I can only really think that one of the following will be put in as a tune up fight for Lombard.

Yushin Okami(I dont see it as he dropped 2 in a row)
Constantinos Philippou
Chris Leben (If he is off suspension)
CB Dolloway
Francis Carmont
Ronny Markes

Out of the 6 I mentioned. I think Leben/Lombard would be the best option but that is of course only a slight chance due to his suspension. Carmont might be interesting as well because he has looked great in his last fights but I still see Hector winning.
Leben is still on suspension and none of those guys are big enough to carry a FOX card against a guy making his UFC debut coming from Bellator which already didn't get that many viewers unless they bump Machida/Bader to the main event. Might be hard to do though considering they've been preparing for a three round fight and Lombard's been preparing for a 25 minute minute fight.

Machida's fighting Bader at 205 on the same exact card.

Plus Machida won't go down to 185 because of Anderson.

I don't think fights are dropping out because of the health insurance. sure the UFC pays for the medical bill but the fighters still miss out of their payday. So drop out of a fight that could of made you 200k (main event = more sponsor) ? then get injury fixed for free or drop out of main card and get the injury fixed for free? either way its been fixed for free just one your losing out on a high profile fight.

I was referring to available MW's

If he was such an easy out why have guys like Nate Marquardt, Patrick Cote, Babalu, Thales Leites, and Miquel Falcao not taken fights against him?

Also those "nobodies" have wins over Chael Sonnen, Anderson Silva, Keith Jardine, Murilo Bustamante, Tom Watson, Drew Fickett, Yushin Okami, David Menne, Matt Lindland, Patrick Cote, Ed Herman, Chris Leben, and Kendall Grove. Just because they aren't in the UFC doesn't mean they are bums.

Lombard is willing to fight at 205, hell he's willing to fight at HW he called Josh Barnett. Which is why I said move Shogun over to main event the Fox card. Lombard defeats Shogun that would silence the doubters.

Getting tired of all of these injuries. It's hard to get excited for fights these days. Nothing is official until they step inside the octagon.

I wish something could be done or said so these guys be more careful. Of course some have good excuses, so they all can't be blamed.

Unless Lombard plans on staying at 205 he doesn't need to fight at 205, that's some Pride-esque fantasy match making.

Besides, from what Ariel said on last night Shogun only wants to fight Davis or Bader.
