I remember a couple of years ago, we went through a lengthy period of injury after injury. This might be even worse. I'd ask what happened to the days of sucking it up and fighting through the pain, but I'm not a professional fighter, and so it's not my place to judge.
Frankly, they can sell Barao vs. Faber. Koch vs. Aldo was always a stretch.

Yeah they got it broke off in them but Koch pretty much got that title shot by no one else being free, now it's either gonna go to the Korean Zombie or he'll have to fight KZ for it.

If KZ was available for a quick turnaround to fight Koch, the card could be more than salvageable.

I don't understand why it sucks for fans in Calgary, this will be a much better and more competitive fight. Did anyone think Koch was anything but cannon fodder for Aldo? He was a place holdeer while this will be a great fight.

This is what I was thinking. I mean it sucks to not see Aldo fight, but I would be completely amazed if Koch were to even come close to winning that fight.
Faber/Barao should be a good one.

Yes I think the fans got a great fight to fill in, probably better then Aldo/Koch. This new headliner should deliver a better competitive fight.
I also dont understand the Koch contender hype currently. He looks set to be a real contender in the future and needs more time to develop his potential.

I want to see Koch fight someone else in the interim. He doesn't really deserve the shot and another fight would keep him active and making money.
