Oh god no. He looked dreadful in his last fight, and that was against Matt friggin Hughes.
If he fought a mediocre welterweight like Matt Brown or Josh Neer he would get destroyed.

Renzo Gracie vs Kazushi Sakuraba in Brazil, it will sell like hot cakes and it will likely be competitive as it can possibly be between these two.

Hey! Yea, that sounds like a fantastic idea.

Is there a place for a guy like R. Gracie in the modern day UFC however? I don't think so sadly.

The Gracies will always be a part of MMA and rightfully so. In modern MMA some of the family seem to get lost in nostalgia and sometimes talk too much.
I like Renzo and he was a top fighter years ago. He could of stayed at that level longer if he went Holland to extensively train his striking.

Not that I disagree, but I read this while watching Germany vs Holland on the other screen, and it made me chuckle.

I was told that the Gracie legacy is a fallacy and that they are not even nice spirited people like everyone thinks. They used to beat people up for fun on the streets of brazil when it was a 3rd world country and stuff and that they don't really have honour. Can anybody else shed light on this? It's annoying because a have a gracie gym next to me and this baby needs to take her jiu jitsu (weakest part) to the next level.
