His loss to Forest was in 2003. Should I bring up andersons losses to Daiju Takase and Ryo Chonan?

Marquardt is not overrated, 3 out of his last four losses are to Anderson, Sonnen, and Okami. The other was a close split decision to Leites. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Anderson obliterated Maia? He made a fool of himself in that fight. He was gassed in the later rounds and decided to act like an idiot.

Hendo won round one against Anderson, sure Anderson got the sub in the second but its not like he brutilized Hendo before that.

That front kick against Belfort was a good kick, but lets get real, how many times in a lifetime does one fighter win with that kick? I think a e-match would be much more competitive.

But lets not discredit these guys wins, they are both fighting the top guys in the division.

Anderson has had parts of his title run where he has not faced the best comp. He faces Cote and Leites back to back. You beat who the UFC put in front of you and if you can do that then great.

Fav Fighters:
BJ
GSP
Askren
JDS
Belcher
Shogun
Fedor
Hendo
Sonnen

Without threat of the takedown, which like many Brazilian fighters Anderson doesn't necessarily fear anyway, there are few fighters in the UFC I'd pick to beat him in a pure striking contest.

Chael Sonnen is not one of them.

I was thinking how he'd fair against wandy under a modified striking only match.

Against silva under such rules... I dunno if chael is Irish or not, but he'd get kilt.

The only aspect he can win Silva is:

Talking Bull****t

Go dig yourself a hole, and stick your head in it.

This guy has 100% MENTAL ISSUES!

Cans? But seriously I think Vitor would beat Chael and is the true #2 UFC MW. Anderson has never lost in the UFC, Sonnen has and has been finished. I can never bet against someone like Anderson as long as he is the Champ (even if he is 40).

After casually beating him stupid for three rounds and getting disgusted when he refused to engage.

Did you see round two? He mulched Hendo in round two. Stuffed him, rocked him, and finished him. How many others have managed that?

It was a good kick but the most impressive part was Anderson dodging a full speed Belfort combo at close range like he was god damned Neo. Their is absolutely no indication the rematch would be different. In fact Belfort's history says otherwise. He breaks mentally when he can't blitz his opponent and he knows he can't blitz Anderson.

You spend an most of your post discrediting some of Anderson's best wins and then you say this. This is exactly the same as spending a post talking about how women are less intelligent than men, giving examples, and then saying "But let's not be sexist". It doesn't actually hide the fact that that is exactly what you are doing.

Anderson doesn't choose his opponents. He fights whoever is put in front of him. Chael does the same. Discrediting either person's victories is stupid and undermines everything fans of either man actually respect. So please stop doing it.

Back on topic - Chael would die in a kickboxing or boxing match with Anderson but you can't expect him to say it. Just like Anderson would lose a wrestling match with him. The biggest question is who gives a rat's ass? Are they going to have a boxing match? No. It's more of the same pointless attempt at hype from Chael.

That is not dead which can eternal lie and withs strange aeons even death may die.

Im a hugeeee Chael Sonnen supporter but even i find it funny that he says "Il find a way to win" when it was Anderson Silva who was getting the sht kicked out of him and then "Found a way to win" even though he received quiet the ass beating. I mean the first round was 10-8,10-9,10-9,10-9,4 minutes- 10-9, ALL Chael, and then Anderson Silva wins. It was the BEST come from behind victory in all of MMA. I dont think il see anything that epic ever again. Good Conquered evil in the end after all seems lost just like in the movies. That fight was the real life MMA version of Rocky.
