Clay Guida and Eddie Wineland. Aikiyama and martin kampmann. I guess they are willing to fight anybody including guys that most others don't want to fight against.

Akiyama's UFC career went

Belcher, Leben, Bisping, Vitor, Shields, and he was supposed to fight Chael and Alves.

Talk about getting it broke off in you.

I think Lesnar did get one favourable matchup in Heath Herring. I think Zuffa knew Herring lost his MMA motivation before the fight also.

Akiyama for sure has been matched with the most challenging fights and agree with most champions not having a path that difficult.

Too bad no one is mentioning Shogun...

Forrest, coleman (this one's an exception but shogun wanted revenge), chuck, machida 2x, jones, hendo.

LOL and soon the notorious vera will be on an his resume as well.

And its even more impressive when your looking at his losses: first machida fight cotnroversial, hendo fight was also very close and theres no shame in losing to jones.

As much as I love Shogun, I lost so much respect for him when he chose to fight Vera over Glover. It's pathetic really, you can't gain anything by fighting one guy yet can against Vera, a guy who's been on a suck streak for quite some time.

Also Chuck wasn't a tough fight at that point, everyone already figured out his style and how to beat him and his now glassjaw.

I think if you come into the UFC on an inflated record and an inflated contract to match Dana and co basically seem to want to punish you for costing them more money, they did it to a lot of guys that rode in on hype.
