Ofcourse, its the only way he could make an argument to fight for the title. If Silva wins then he has got no argument to fight him.

Sonnen would beat him just as easily the second time around.
Anderson will probably claim he's got some sort of injury, delay the fight, make some sort of ridiculous demands and knock Bisping out after he crumbles.

I think Bisping vs Silva would be one of the most entertaining fights ever and would make a good contender match early next year.
I expect Bisping would do much better than any of the former champions who have faced Silva.

when people make a case that Bisping won that fight, it was hardly an easy fight for Sonnen in the first place.

You crack me up...That fight was almost dead even..Chael outwrestled him, but Bisping landed the better shots IMO.

Sonnen winning would be very beneficial to Bisping, but he does need to win a fight to get a title shot.
If he does, I like his chances against Sonnen based on the first fight, and I've always felt that Silva vs Bisping would be an exciting war with Silva winning.

Silva/Bisping would not be a war. It would be a one sided beatdown. Maybe lasting into the second round because of Anderson feeling him out the first round.
