This is not a debate of who the better fighter just who was more dominate as champ. The fact that GSP kicked Hughes ass has no baring. GSP is the better more well rounded fighter but is he really the more dominate when looking a the way Matt beat his opponets (KOs and subs) as opposed to the way GSP is beating his (5 UDs in last 7 fights).

So you're point is that the quality of opposition doesn't matter at all?

If you think you can define dominance without taking into account who you are dominating, well, I guess you can say Hughes is more dominant then

Obviously I think it matters a lot more than you do, who you are fighting.

It's a little absurd to look at GSP's 5 round annhilation of Fitch and look at Hughes TKO of Gil Castillo and say that Hughes win is 'better'. I mean, really? Thats a better win? Even better examples are GSP's fights against Alves and Kos, all decisions, but those are guys that beat Hughes, yet according to your logic, Hughes subs or tkos over nobodies, are worth more.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, if you think a stoppage over a scrub means more than those wins, well, ok, Hughes is definately more dominant, because he has way more of those wins, and more wins in general. I respectfully disagree.
