I find it quite scary that a company like VADA has to "buy" their way into the sport this way, when they should be working every event and every match anyways.
Still - more testing = yay!

If I was a clean fighter and could afford it, i'd hire random drug testing for me and my opponent every fight.

Lol, I was looking up VADA and a part of their web site seems to be written by a 10 year old.

As far as the testing goes, I'm all for it. The commission can't afford to do it so I can't see how this will hurt.

Surprised how no one said anything about Penn probably putting this all together to get back at Tri Star, this is still an on going feud with GSP/Tri Star.

Until the results come back, you can't say anything. Lamont Peterson and Andre Berto (boxers) both failed the VADA tests and had their fights cancelled...and it was THEIR idea to have the testing in the first place!
I'm personally of the opinion that Macdonald is doping but the question is whether or not he can successfully cycle it in such a way as to avoid getting caught by VADA.

And why is it that you believe he is doping, what grounds or reasoning so you have for that?

There's a lot I like about VADA and a lot I don't.
Victor Conte's involvement in VADA is disturbing. He's using it as a soapbox to sell his brand of "safe" supplements. And wouldn't you know it, a fighter using VADA and Conte's supplements gets popped for a PED that's often found in contaminated supplements. But I do understand the doctors at VADA wanting to have a cheater on their side to come at the testing methods from a doper's mindset.
Doing carbon isotope ratio tests on every urine sample is a great idea. Expensive as hell, but it will detect any exogenous testosterone without worrying about T:E ratios and genetic mutations.
If anyone is doping, it's moronic to agree to this since VADA can do random blood and urine tests whenever. Which is why it's weird that three guys have already been caught by VADA.
