Machida has probably the best movement/footwork in the UFC, you have to be either much bigger than him(Jones) or capable of outsmarting him on the feet(Shogun) to achieve and maintain a takedown or clinch.

I'd say Machida beats Rashad in a rematch, by (T)KO again. Evans on paper is big trouble at 185 but I think that division has a very high skill level right now and at his age fighting that light for the first time in years, no gimme IMO.

Hard to say Ortiz did not evolve as his career was hamper with injuries after the Chuck fight. As for Randy, he is a great wrestler, however styles do make match up and he did not have the footwork,speed to keep up with Machida. If Randy was still active I say he would beat a lot of the top 15 ranked LHWs.

Randy is a good wrestler BUT he is also old. And his wrestling was never based on shooting anyway it was based on getting his opponent against the fence and dragging them down. Which i am sure you are aware of.

Tito was a great wrestler before his injuries, you said he was a crap mma wrestler. His wrestling certainly took a hit after his operations, thats what I said.

The 'old man' took loads of vicious body kicks against Vera, and still got the decision. Nog is what 36? Younger then Anderson Silva, but oh he is old too and doesn't mean anything either.

Machidas footwork is probably the best in the UFC. Its not because guys are bad wrestlers they couldnt take machida down, its because he is that good on his feet he makes them look like they dont have good take downs

Right and it was one of those body kicks that nearly cost him the fight but since Vera is a tool he couldn't finish.
