Anderson doesn't draw as much money as you think, one look at PPV buys will tell you that.

Second of all, this is two men locked in a steel cage and Anderson can punch him, kick him, knee him, elbow him, and has tons of different ways he can administer punishment to Chael, not a kindergarten class where one guy has to go to time out because he was a potty mouth.

And third and finally, trash talking has always been a part of Combat Sports, people need to realize the UFC has to sell these fights and that fighting is fifty percent promotion, fifty percent performance. There's a reason Floyd Mayweather is the king of PPV and it's because he knows how to promote fights.

I'll tell you right now. If Chael Sonnen was fighting Cain Velasquez and he was attacking the Hispanic culture like he is the Brazilian culture it would not fly. Just living in Arizona, and being married to a proud mexican woman lets me know this.

Anderson has done well over a million buys in his last two Vegas fights combined. That's even better than say, Jon Jones who is probably the third biggest draw right now.

And even with that, his US numbers have never really mattered as much as what he does for the UFC in Brazil. He's pretty big there.

Actually, no he hasn't.

His last two fights in Vegas were against Belfort as part of a stacked UFC card that had Griffin/Franklin and Jones/Bader on it and before that his last fight in Vegas was a free card when he fought James Irvin.

He only sold 500,000 PPV's at UFC 112 along with BJ and Machida/Shogun 2, Liddell/Franklin, Lesnar/Carwin all sold more PPV's and the month before that GSP/Hardy sold more. UFC 97 did well but also had a long awaited bout between Liddell and Shogun on it and UFC 101 also did well but he moved up to Light Heavyweight and BJ was also on the card.

He's huge in Brazil but it's a nationalistic sport over there like Soccer, they'll root for their own to the end. Vitor, Aldo, Shogun, Minotauro, Wanderlei and the countless others are all much bigger over there than any American is over here.

And I don't even have my Sonnen hat on for this one, he's just never been a big seller over here despite his highlight reel which is pretty impressive.

Last two fights in America. The Sonnen fight was in California. Regardless, the point still stands.

1- Why did the UFC do nothing to all the BS that Chael Sonnen has done?
2- Why didn't the UFC say hey "Chael Sonnen" stop, you're talking about our Organizations CHAMPION?
3- Why didn't they call Anderson and apologize for all the BS that that big mouth "Chael Sonnen" said about his wife, country, and personality?
4- Why did the UFC cut off lots of fighter just for jokes, or quotes on Twitter. Why didn't they cut Sonnen for all this BS?

Please don't tell me that its business, or its to increase the hype and make big money. Silva if he just walks in a corridor, he will make you money! He is not just an ICON to the sport, he is a true Super Star. So money will come, with respect or with insulting (and thats how the UFC chose it to be)!

I'm sure Anderson, by now knows that he has his back against the wall, and that the WHOLE F****KING organization is behind this lamer "Chael Sonnen". Just as they were when they turned their organization to a supporter for their champion John Jones against Rashad. Only that JJ is a respectful man, not like Sonnen! Rashad felt bad at that time too. Now they are doing the same shit with their LEGEND!

Questions to whom ever reads and posts a response here:
1- How would you feel about a guy that keeps saying bad about your wife, your family, your country, and about you?

2- How would you feel when you see no interruption from the company you work for about these incidents?

3- Please don't be a racist (American, Brazilian, etc) when you answer, or when you cheer for a fighter or any other sports man. Sport is about wining in honor and respect to your opponents not what we are seeing right now from "Chael Sonnen".

MSG to the Spider:
Please, Please, Please end this Joker...
you give the answer to all your questions by creating this very thread: publicity

if people talk about it, it's publicity, and there's no such thing as "bad publicity"

so your very thread proves that they were right to let chael keep going, because of the thousands who'll buy the PPV hoping he gets smashed by Silva.

money

either you understand these concepts, either you let them control what you do.

and as they're based on people's ego, they work really fine with the internet.

It's been stated already, but Anderson is a big boy and is more than capable of looking out for himself. If big, bad Chael has hurt his feelings, then Silva will have his opportunity at revenge. He doesn't need Grandma Dana to fight his battles for him.

Did she marry you before or after they started demanding that illegals show their papers down there?

Why call him out on any of that?? Its freedom of speech. Why should he censor himself just because he's a fighter? There are plenty of good role-models for kids in MMA as well. Rich Franklin for example. Can't have positive without negative.
