With all the trash talk between Sonnen and silva leading up to next weekends big fight ime so hyped up for the event ( first in a while). My question is do you think trash talking is good for the UFC, I for one am sick of the fake hand shakes and hugs after fights and leading up to them, the dropping to the knee's and bowing at opponents is sometimes cringey. Now when you get the trash talk it brings more excitement to the fight and the ppv in general, what use think?.

Of course trash talk makes it more fun. It gives the fight a story/narrative. It polarizes the public. It makes it more emotional for the audience and so on.


There is trash talk however and there's nonsense. In chael's case he well within the realm of nonsense at this point. His crap is all over the place, he often contradicts himself he comes off as someone how tries too hard to sound smart, even though he's not etc.

The guy runs around calling himself a "gangsta from west linn" ffs. LOL since when is west linn the oregon equivalent of compton?

He's still funny from time to time but he needs to get his act together and follow a coherent line of attack.
