I don't understand Guillard at times. Sometimes he can go against grapplers like Roller and Dunham and just show great take down defense and run right through them, but then he fights other grapplers and becomes tentative. I'm guessing it could be because of his recent losses.
That being said, I'm happy that Guillard won a decision. His submission defense looked good and he managed to escape the mount and get back to his feet. Now he just needs to continue that improvement, but not forget about the great offensive game that he possesses. I'm sure it wasn't displayed here because he was so worried about getting taken down. After losing two straight fights by submission because of his antics, you can't blame him too much for playing it safe.

This was not a 30-27 victory. These judges really suck, hopefully there wont be any more decisions.

You can look at it one of two ways it seems.

all i can say is look at the fight statistics, it will be something like 2 out 200 strikes landed and 0 out 15 takedown attempts for khabib.

I thought melvin took it. Was a little surprised by the 30-27s.

I missed the prelims but it seems I didn't miss much? All decisions and pretty poor fights, how did that happen?
Main event needs to be good.

I was glad to see Khabib get the win in that fight. Tibau was content to just deny Khabib's efforts and not put any of his own into that fight. Tibau coasted and it cost him.
