I see Mendes decisively winning the first round. He should be able to take McKenzie down at will. Cody will go for his signature guillotine choke, but Mendes will pull out quickly. He then picks his strikes and easily maintains top position throughout the first round. After that, I can see McKenzie fading in the later rounds and getting absolutely dominated more and more each second and perhaps getting finished toward the end. That's right, Mendes may actually finish a fight again which hasn't happened since 2010. Cody has been known for getting tired in grinders. Considering how much grappling Mendes probably plans on doing, I see this being the same case, especially since it's Cody's first fight as a featherweight in the UFC.
