This is what I was thinking. Sucks to see the fight end like this though.

Congrats to Maia but I nearly cried when I saw the injury. So frustrating. This really really sucks. I don't know how some of you automatically assume the sub was coming anyways when the fight hasn't happened though. The thing I learned about MMA a while ago is that ANYTHING can happen, and this match just proved it. Hope DHK gets better and it's not too serious of an injury. Rib injuries are SO bad..

Glad to see Maia get the win here. It's a shame it happened the way it did and I hope Kim will be alright, but that's the name of the game. Injuries happen in MMA and it's still a legitimate win. For the short time the fight lasted, it seemed like Maia was going to have the grappling advantage. Who knows how the second and third round would have looked if it got there though. Then again, who knows if Kim would have made it to the second round.

Moving on, I can't wait to see who Maia gets to fight next.

Reminded me of the Shogun injury against Coleman. such a shame. Maia showed a little more class than Coleman though

I think Stun Gun would've given Maia a good fight - shame it went down the way it did, but I'm sure this loss won't hurt his career as much as a 'proper' loss would. Wish him a good recovery.
