Probably thought he lost the fight and wanted to give Tito his moment.

He did it as a joke because of last time. Lighten up folks. Forrest is a nice guy.

Forrest himself said it's because he got emotional, and wasn't happy with his performance. He was on his way back to the cage before Dana caught up with him.
Don't see a big deal, he was out of the cage for what? 30 seconds? Wow.

To each his own.
It was his opponent's retirement fight but because Griffin didn't perform as he wanted, and even though he knew he would probably get the win, he wasn't going to hang around for the decision.
Then he chickens out because Dana caught up with him, then he patronizes Tito by doing Rogan's job.
Could be seen as comical, under the circumstances I thought it was totally unprofessional and pretty embarrassing. Just stealing the spotlight.

I thought it was because he didn't want to win or something since it was Tito's retirement fight. Then when he came back to the cage and did Rogan's job it just got...weird. I thought it was a really risky thing to do considering how seriously Tito takes himself and the sport. This was his retirement moment and Forrest definitely stole some of the spot light by running out and back in, then doing the retirement interview.
I don't think Forrest should be thrown to the wolves or anything, but I do think it was the wrong thing to do since he knew Tito was retiring.
Only other possibility I can think of is that the interview part was planned.
