If they fought now then it would be an easy fight for Silva.

Cung le currently is a better MMA fighter then the younger Cung le except for striking. Cung le five years ago had more speed and striking output, looking at him currently you can see his age having an impact on his striking which is still great.
I think Cung would of stood a better chance beating Silva 5 years ago.

Cung Le isn't that great, he isn't deserving of fighting Anderson. No disrespect he's a good fighter but no way should he be fighting the champion and he'd easily get beat imo. He fights how Anderson wants

Just asking why does it have to be in China, He's not Chinese.

Dana White Wants Cung Le For UFC on FUEL TV 6
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 07.08.2012

White wants Le to fight in China…

With his first UFC win behind him, Cung Le may have his next fight lined up already. Dana White said at the post-UFC 148 press conference that he wants to see Le, who beat Patrick Cote last night, fight at UFC on FUEL TV 6, the promotion's debut in China. The show is set to take place November 10th in Macau.

Lee replied to White's assertion by saying he wanted to heal up and assess the situation, saying, "I'm just going to enjoy this win right now and just heal up and see what happens," he said.

White then jumped in with a joke: "What he meant was, 'I'm going to go back, get back in the gym, and I'd love to fight in China. I'm translating for Cung."

Le then decided to play along and said with a smile, "I'm going to go back in the gym and get ready for China."
He may not be Chinese but he is Asian and it is a fuel TV card so Benson Henderson is out of the question. So the options are

Dong Hyun Kim - 1-2 in his last three
Yushin Okami - 0-2 in his last two
Riki Fukuda - 1-2 in his last three
Takanori Gomi - 2-3 in his last five
Yoshihiro Akiyama - 0-4 in his last four
Hatsu Hioki - just lost(might be a backup option)
Chan Sung Jung - Likely fighting for the title
Michihiro Omigawa - 1-3 in his last four

When they go over seas they don't need it to be country based main events regions are fine ergo Struve/Miocic is the English main event even though neither guy is English.

No he didn't. All Cote did was run away and survive being tooled for a few rounds.

I'm a Cung fan but this would be a really bad fight for him. Anderson has more weapons and is experienced in TKD and will recognize his kicks better than boxers and wrestlers. He is also faster, stronger, taller, longer, and has better cardio. There is no reason to send some nice old man to an execution.

Don't know what else to throw at him..I think Le's style might give Andy a handful..
Silva vs. Cote was a joke. Like Maia, Anderson was playing with Cote the entire time. Remember how Anderson had Cote in full mount then all of a sudden he got up for no apparent reason and helped Cote get back on his feet. That was a WTF moment if I ever saw one. Cung Le will crumble if they ever got into a striking battle and will most likely get dominated if it ever reached the ground.

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Dont hate on Cote too much, the division wasnt the biggest at the time and Cote had title contender skills with his striking. He proved his defensive ground game against Almeida and that earnt him a shot. Silva may have clowned around but was always weary of Cotes power and had respect for that.

Even though Cung just beat Cote, it shows MMA is still evolving and talent levels becoming more equal. A few exceptions still exist like Cung would of had a better small chance beating Silva 5 years ago then now.

I'm sorry, but there is no chance in hell that Cung Le would last one round with Silva.

Goodbye Tito, thanks for the 15 years of amazing fights, top level entertainment and controversy!
