Wow... lost for words here. You obviously have no idea how the UK TV licence(Tax) works.
You pay your TV licence (£140 a year) per household regardless of how many TVs you own and regardless of what channels you watch or subscribe to. Even if you dont have Sky (Satellite TV) you still pay the licence.
That Licence pays for the BBC which offers 4-5 channels of mostly great TV shows, with no adverts or commercials. It also gives us access to many BBC national, and local radio stations as well as an excellent online 'catchup' facility.
