Silva has made it pretty clear he doesn't want any part of this matchup, and I can't blame him as it probably wouldn't end too well for him.

I am not sure wether Jones would be able to get him down, i am sure he would get KOed standing tho. If it hits the ground tho, Bones 100%.

We all can make assessments on paper who will win, but the only way to know is have them fight. I believe Silva would beat Jones. However as they both have a lot to lose if they were to fight. A Jon Jones lost would be more devastating to his career as he is just beginning.

Silva's legacy is already set in stone, if this fight were to happen it will be at 205. Win or lose for Silva it will not affect his MW status at all.

Honestly though after seeing Chael take Anderson down as he'd put it..."it would be a big problem." JBJ has devastating GNP.

I think the UFC will offer both $1 million a piece for the biggest match in history down the line. It's up for them to take it.

What I'd really like to see is Anderson beat both GSP and JBJ. How crazy would that be. Just a triple exclamation mark on his ABSOLUTE RULE.
That would be a huge pay cut for Anderson.

I think James and Anderson won't face each other ever and that's fine by me.

Well, most of the diehard MMA fans treat him like a Sith lord anyway, so why not?

Man, I despise this kid more every time he opens his mouth. Out of all the legitimate reason for them to not fight (they're friends, respect, etc), he lectures on how important it is to be champ and not lose because of the money. Then goes on to talk about his greatness? Wow.

Thinking about the look on his face being brought back to reality with a car smashed into a pole gives me some satisfaction at this poit and I'm not ashamed of that one bit.

I don't really have a huge interest in this fight as their size and age gap is a little too much for my liking.

It sorta feeds the skill vs athleticism questions but I'm not really interested in either of this fighters dropping their first loss (for Silva in the UFC) on a fan fight. It sort of takes away some of their mystic in their own divisions.

Anderson has everything to lose and really not a lot to gain. I believe Jones has more to gain and less to lose but really not worth it IMO.

And that, folks, is why GSP-Silva has never happened, nor is likely to happen. Jones, GSP, Andy, they've all got incredible things going on, and they're not dumb... they don't want to ruin it.

Defecato, ergo sum.
