I guess we are all glossing over Helwani confirming Silva didn't call anyone out.
Evans versus Silva is the only fight that can sell PPV's if Evans does what he does well, sell fights.
Anyone can take out anyone at this level, but a prepped Silva (and somewhat healthy) will likely destroy anyone at this weight class. End of story.
Weidman has called out Silva, and even he did it in a way where he wasn't confident. Everything he said included 'I think' or 'I might'. Perhaps that was his way of being respectful. One great knockout doesn't put a guy who has had a few top level opponents near Silva.
Bisping did an interview recently where he called out Silva and said 'I think I can do better than Sonnen' and 'I want to challenge myself and see how I would do' against Silva. From one of the big talkers in the UFC, that sounds more like he wants to play a video game, rather than fighting Silva (who blames him though?)
Lombard hasn't even fought in the UFC, and really and truly he is fighting a replacement fighter. At least he made it clear that he wants no part of Silva at this time by calling out Munoz.
The only big guarenteed PPV fight he has is with Jones or GSP.
