Well that's an easy win for silva... No idea why he's calling him out.

I fully believe Luke Rockhold is a better fighter than Lombard. Lombard is more devistating but Luke is a better overall fighter.

As for Weidman? Not sure. I like his skills, but he really shouldn't be thrown to the wolves. He doesn't have many fights.

Would like to see a true #1 contender fight between Weidman and Lombard should Lombard win Saturday.

But then again, I don't want Silva to sit out forever.

If Lombard comes away un-hurt, I say schedule that fight for say October and then they can do an Anderson title shot on SuperBowl Weekend at the start of February.

I think he just wants to beat Rockhold up for what he said on twitter.

He'll probably end up fighting Lombard and if he doesn't like any of the match ups at 185, try 205 full time or retire.

I guess we are all glossing over Helwani confirming Silva didn't call anyone out.

Evans versus Silva is the only fight that can sell PPV's if Evans does what he does well, sell fights.

Anyone can take out anyone at this level, but a prepped Silva (and somewhat healthy) will likely destroy anyone at this weight class. End of story.

Weidman has called out Silva, and even he did it in a way where he wasn't confident. Everything he said included 'I think' or 'I might'. Perhaps that was his way of being respectful. One great knockout doesn't put a guy who has had a few top level opponents near Silva.

Bisping did an interview recently where he called out Silva and said 'I think I can do better than Sonnen' and 'I want to challenge myself and see how I would do' against Silva. From one of the big talkers in the UFC, that sounds more like he wants to play a video game, rather than fighting Silva (who blames him though?)

Lombard hasn't even fought in the UFC, and really and truly he is fighting a replacement fighter. At least he made it clear that he wants no part of Silva at this time by calling out Munoz.

The only big guarenteed PPV fight he has is with Jones or GSP.

Also if you read the article instead of just blindly responding you would see that it says "Anderson did mention Rockhold", and then a sentence later it says the Anderson Silva camp is not too thrilled about any of the options.

The person who wrote the article is putting words in Silva's mouth. Bad article from a usually reliable source.

the only fights that would sell at MW is Silva vs Rashad or Bisping, Not saying either deserve a shot but they are the only fights that would do good numbers. Any other fights at MW for anderson would be a waste imo, he may only have 3 or so fights left at his peak, it would be a shame to waste them on no named fighters.

Wasn't saying it was your fault man, I was blaming the guy who wrote the article. The author totally spins it off like Anderson calls him out when its clear Anderson just acknowledged the guy is in the mix, but that he isn't excited about any of these guys. Certainly not calling someone out.

Anyone sorry if my post came off harsh I was just trying to squash the rumour before it got all out of hand.
