You never know how a fighter will look in their debut into a new weight-class, and you don't know how they'll look in their first fight against UFC talent.

So no, an instant title shot against arguably the greatest LHW champion ever does not make any kind of sense.

I'd go along with this, I don't know about this weight cut that hurt him but he obviously thinks he can make 205lb, or he wouldn't say this. He has a lot of excess weight which would vanish with the right diet and his usual training.

I'd like him to stay at HW but as long as he's fighting, all good.

I can bring up vids of him wrestling at 184 in college if you want?

Jones probably wouldn't have too many problems with Cormier.

He better have a wicked triangle.. Do you think his sub game is above Barnett's level?

I'd like to see him fight a different 205'er first, just for the sake of seeing how he looks but I do think he's an interesting threat for Bones.

I think Bones would handle him. I think no one respect Cormier except Barnett, and unfortunately Barnett is not the fighter barometer he used to be. Jones so far has respected everyone and prepared properly for them. I think Cromier would do really well at 205, if he can keep the weight cut, but I think he loses to Jones.

Cormier won't have to drop down to LHW. Velasquez on the other hand...

I've wanted him to drop for ever. The man is a beast and he's a small HW. Obviously he would lose some mass before he fought at 205, but that is the guy to beat Jones. A lightyears beyond wrestler and serious power. Good luck in the clinch with him Jon.

However I don't see Cain beating JDS, but I've just found the first reason to cheer for that boring beyond words large foreheaded mofo.
