I'm hoping Lauzon wins as I usually cheer for the guy but I can see Varner taking a decision.

Jamie Varner is showing his patented running away fight style. Clipped Lauzon but it looks like we'll see round two.

Hopefully Joe the Ripper shows up, the same one that demolished Fatty Gabe.

Edit: I predict that Jamie will drop his mouthpiece when he gets hurt and try to call time out.

I like Varner and he's doing well so far but am worrying he is slowing, Lauzon is very dangerous and is one of those guys you can't get tired and slip up against.

Thanks to Leakler for the sig

Good fight so far.

Something I noticed about Varner's last win against Edson. It seemed like Edson was throwing almost exclusively leg kicks, which I don't think is a good idea when your opponent is being extremely aggressive with punches and is packing power behind them. I remember thinking how he was leaving himself open, and I was proven right after the result when Edson got finished.

Very nice round. Like him or not Varner belongs at this level. His vociferous is very tight and so is his wrestling.

Varner is lighting up Joe's body. I don't like the guy but those punches are things of beauty. Lauzon seems like he doesn't want any part of it and wants to grind the rest of Jamie's energy out.
