UFC always go to Vegas??????

Why does UFC always go to Vegas? Neveda doesn't even have a large population, only 2.7 millions. I think most people seeing the show in Vegas are not from Neveda.

Las Vegas is the pugilistic sports capital of the U.S. Not to mention the fact that the UFC organization itself is based in Las Vegas.

Who cares where the spectators are from? The point is they are in Las Vegas and are filling the seats.

What he said! ^^ Have you ever watched other combat sports like boxing? Vegas is a major draw and people come from ALL OVER THE WORLD to watch fights in Vegas. It's an exciting city with plenty of stuff to do before and after the fight with tons of Casinos, bars, extravagant clubs all crammed into an insane strip.

Why wouldn't they throw a lot of blockbuster cards there?

Las Vecas is THE mecca of entertainment. It's not a local show, people will go to Vegas from all over the world every month of the year.

As people mentioned it is THE fight city of the world at this point. Alot of fighters are still fighting out of LV and Zuffa + UFC have their HQ there.

And yeah, boxing is the exact same :)

Without Vegas there would be no UFC today. They were selling out casinos when it was still banned in most other states.

Without Vegas and Atlantic city the Fertitas would have had no interest in the UFC

As a former resident of Vegas let me also throw this in, it is a city solely devoted to hosting people who don't live there. When the go to Toronto people have to book hotels 40 miles outside of the city just to find a place to stay, in Vegas you can stay inside the damn hotel it will be in, if it is too expensive then you stay 1/4 mile down the road for cheaper.

As further evidence of this look at the BR show that had to be moved because the UN was going to be there as well and take up the accommodations, that just doesn't happen in Vegas.

It also helps that there is other entertainment as well making it a great venue for hosting. Everyone loves to go see a UFC fight, but what to do before/after the fight. While some places have clubs, etc, most don't have the level and amount of entertainment that a playland like Vegas does (for over 21). Sure other places may pack more in attendance, but lets see them keep that up for 10+ shows a year.

Well said, thanks for the insider view!

Is UFC allowed to go to New York? Summer weather is more comfortable than Vegas, and there should be enough hotels and casinos near the US-Canada border to accommodate the fans.

But I think New York banned MMA...
