With all the crazy title shot promises going around these days why not add one more, and probably the only one Jones would be interested in to avenge his only technical loss

So hard for them to say no... but at the same time, Rampage(when he's on) and Gustaf are complete beasts and Hamill probably does have a few fights left in him. Money.
He'd better actually show up this time... It's like he quit trying after the Bisping fight.....I know he won a few more.. but he used to be a top notch wrestler!!!
I'd love to see that fight and I think it could happen. Hamill is the only one to beat Jones and I think he can do it again. He should use the same strategy as last time since it worked so well.
If he shows the wrestling and control he shown in the Ortiz fight and stuck to his strengths, he'd still give any fighter a hard time. Hamill was maybe just demoralized last time out. I'd be intruiged to see how he does now his body has had time to heal up
My dream fight involves Jones crawling towards Hamill, getting knocked out cold with a head kick, and Hamill being DQ'd and just telling Jones "It's cool, we're even now" when he comes to.
I just don't want to see that stupid crawl again, ever.
Hamill just needed some time off to figure out what he wants to do in the future. I'm sure his coming back well prepared and motivated. He has to, otherwise he wouldn't have decided to come back in the first place.
You guys are right, that rematch really makes sense since Hamill easily exposed Jones in the first fight. I'm worried about Hamill's ring rust though. If he comes out of retirement, the UFC should give him a warm up fight with Anderson Silva.
He has better wrestling, better striking, his cardio is through the roof and he's gonna show the world exactly how I dont even know how to finish this post without laughing my ass off...
The search function works. I was looking over the future cards for the UFC and saw Matt Hamill listed on 152. I was coming over to make a thread wondering why no one had mentioned this. Apparently I missed the thread. On paper he seemed like he had a lot of potential, but I never really saw it in him. I think he made the right choice with the whole retirement thing.
I must be out of the loop with another "Saint Leg Kicker" joke or something. Other than Jones doing illegal shots that got him DQ'ed, I'm not the only one who saw him fight Hammil and watched him absolutely own him am I?
I would seriously use the word "mean" if the UFC were to offer Hammil up to Jones again.
