Déjàvu, a close friend and sparring partner of mine was involved in something like this last night. The bartender insulted him to his face and I don't know if he jumped the bar or what but he beat the guy pretty bad before he got pulled off then he ran outside before cops or anything. Just what I heard this morning, apparently his hands are bad, a cast and stitches bad.

There is a time when people need to grow up and realize its not worth it. Myself included.

If I was sucker punched by almost any UFC fighter I doubt I'd be able to say much of anything.

Chad Mendes Responds to Bar Fight Allegations

Quote:
Following a report that Chad Mendes was being sought in connection with a bar brawl that broke out in California, the fighter and his management team on Saturday responded to MMAWeekly.com.

The story first reported by the Hanford Sentinel stated that Mendes was a suspect in connection with a 40-person fight that broke out at a local bar in the area.

According to the report, Mendes “sucker punched” a patron and then apparently ran out of the back of the bar when a full-on brawl broke out with many others spilling out into the fight.

Kings County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to deal with the occurrence. Mendes was allegedly identified before hitting another patron and then escaping by running along some railroad tracks to avoid police.

Mendes, who is currently in Ohio cornering teammate Lance Palmer at the UVC 20 show in Columbus, responded to the allegations through his management team at MMA Inc.

“On Friday afternoon, Chad Mendes was shocked and surprised by the allegations contained in an article published on an Internet news site. While Chad acknowledges that an incident occurred last Saturday in Hanford, he contends that the majority of the facts pertaining to him in the story are absolutely false.

Attempts were immediately made by Chad’s representatives to contact personnel at the Sheriff’s Department on Friday afternoon. Despite these repeated attempts, Chad’s representatives have not received any response from the Sheriff’s Department as of the time of this release.

Chad denies any wrongdoing and is very upset by the allegations contained in the story. He will fully cooperate with the Sheriff’s Department and looks forward to clearing his name.”

Mendes will return home following the fights this weekend in Ohio as his management team continues to try and contact the Kings County Sheriff’s Department to clear up the matter.

The Kings County Sheriff’s Department was quoted as stating that if they could not speak to Mendes about the matter by Monday, they would take the case to the District Attorney’s office to seek charges, so an arrest warrant could be issued.

Get KO'd by some dude? Walk it off.

Get KO'd by someone you've seen on TV? There's money to be made here.

Moral of the story is, don't punch people if you've been on TV.

Also, police admitting that he basically went right through them, KO'd a guy and then outran them is pretty suspect imo. Makes them sound pretty useless as cops.

YeahI doubt they would cut Mendes especially since weight lasses under 155 desperately need more talent. He will get a slap on the wrist from the UFC should this turn out to be true.

My guess is it's all a bunch of crap. Someone spotted him in the bar and wants to make a quick buck off the whole thing.

They are sure painting the picture of Chad Mendez being a damn ninja. He some how forces his way through the police... "sucker punches" someone and runs back out the back door.... never to be seen again.

If that was the type of police force that protected my town, I'd move.

The sucker punch seems highly suspect as well. Why sucker punch someone when you know you can KO other trained athletes? If he really did punch someone, the dude probably say it coming and his pride is just too hurt to admit it.

I bet the story you here from the authorties and media and what really happened are very different. People often after getting there ass whooped especially loud mouth wannabe tough guys like to claim they were sucker punched. Don't be too quick to judge Mendes on this unless you were there and saw what happened.
