Siyar wants to fight BJ - not doing it for Money.

When news broke that Rory MacDonald was forced to bow out of his much-anticipated welterweight showdown against B.J. Penn due to injury, which was set for UFC 152 on Sept. 22, 2012, mixed martial arts (MMA) fans were left disappointed with the reality of having to wait for the match up to happen.

"Ares" required 38 stitches to close up the nasty cut he suffered during training and has been campaigning to have the fight rescheduled for UFC 154 in November while "The Prodigy" wants to swing leather much earlier than that in October at UFC 153, which will go down in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Since both fighters can't seem to agree on a rescheduled date, perhaps a change of opponents is in order. At least one welterweight seems to think so, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) powerhouse striker, Siyar Bahadurzada.

The cage fighter formerly known as "The Killer" recently expressed his interest in testing his "warrior spirit" against the future Hall of Famer, Penn, via his Twitter account:

(1/2) Hey @bjpenndotcom since Rory is out, you would make a dream come true if u'd take my fight. I'm not a bigger name than Rory yet, but..

(2/2) I promise u i'm a better & tougher fight. I admire ur warrior spirit & don't take this as disrespect. From 1 real fighter to another!

"The Great" didn't stop there, however, as he even offered to donate his earnings from the potential fight to charity to prove that he does not want to fight Penn for money:

(1/2) The only reason I wanna fight @bjpenndotcom is to test my will and warrior spirit vs his. I'm not fighting for money!

(2/2) I'm willing to donate my fight purse to a charity to prove that it's not for financial reasons & will take VADA tests!

A very admirable gesture from the part of the former Golden Glory-trained fighter.

Bahurdazada is coming off a devastating first round knockout against Paulo Thiago back at UFC on FUEL TV 2: "Gustafsson vs. Silva" on April 14, 2012. The bout marked his debut with the promotion, as well as his seventh consecutive victory.

Penn recently stated that the MacDonald fight was the only one that brought him out of retirement, so the chances of taking Bahadurzada up on his offer seem to be very slim. However, stranger things have happened and should MacDonald and Penn fail to agree on a date, perhaps "Baby J" may respond to the gauntlet laid down by Siyar.

Anyone think this would be a good replacement for the injured MacDonald? Should a contest between Siyar and B.J. ever come to fruition, who do you feel would come out on top?

how do you guys think this would go ?

despite BJ being past his prime i think Siyar would still beat him even stop him maybe.

i think this would be an awesome fight - both will be willing to stand and trade.

props to siyar for calling out BJ with respect!

With BJ only coming out of retirement for the Rory fight, and probably won't fight too many more times, everyone seems to want him right now. And who can blame them?

Great call out by Siyar, donating his purse to charity and agrees to Vada...

Won't lie, there's a part of me that wants BJ to accept this, get the W, then face Rory.

Make it happen Joe Silva.

BJ doesn't turn down any fights, and this would be a war.

Everybody wants a piece of Penn hoping to elevate their careers with his name. I hope some of the out-callers gets him and Penn shows them violently how it's done.

Siyar is no joke at all, I think BJ would win but this would be a very close fight imo.

Am I the only one who likes this fight even more than the original? Oh and classy callout on Siyar's part :-)
