Who else listens to Sirius Fight Club on Satellite Radio - Mike Goldberg

Anyone else have Serious/XM and listen to the Fight Club on channel 94 (Sirius).

I found the show about 6 months ago and have been listening ever since. It should be on more often and for longer, but our time will come.

Anyway, they brought up the subject of Mike Goldberg as a "Play by Play" commentator and unanimously agreed he is one of the worst in the business in any sport. Wow! I never even thought about it too hard and now that I do, I certainly don't come to that conclusion.

What do you guys think of Goldie? I personally have no problem with him. I think he plays the role perfectly of the interested, but not hardcore fan. Which lends itself to having Joe Rogan open to explaining the different styles and different techniques.
If they were both experts, it would seem forced if one guy started explaining the basics of the sport.
So I think they have a great balance and make it really easy for inexperienced viewers to learn the sport.

But Man, these guys hammered him bad. Nothing good to say at all. Kind of surprising, especially since they had him on the show a couple weeks ago and praised him.

I just thought Goldie's job was to yell "Head Kick" each time one gets thrown and to say "And it's all over". And he does that pretty well as far as I am concerned.

What do you think?

I don't think Goldberg's bad at all. I think the way he calls things definitely compliments Rogan's style of explaining what's happening - so it's a good fit for the commentary team IMO.
